GCO Road Trips 2022
Diane Harrell once again has organized fascinating road trips for gardeners this summer and fall. In July many members enjoyed four outings to interesting venues followed by lunch at nearby outstanding restaurants. These were followed by two more outings in August, one in September and 2 in October. We always look forward to see where these adventures will take us. It is a great way to connect with new members and reconnect with old friends.
October 5, 2022: Amish Country Tour
Our Amish country tour on October 5th was so much fun! We drove around Westminster’s campus and then shopped at the Volant Mill. Lunch was enjoyed at the IRON BRIDGE restaurant. We began our tour at 2:00 and visited an Amish grocery store, rug shop, nursery, and bakery and learned more than you can imagine from our guide, Susan.

Monday, August 29, 2022: Highland Park
A group of 4 enjoyed a lunch best described as “delicioso” at MAD MEX followed by a driving tour of HIGHLAND PARK this afternoon. The park is huge! In addition to the beautiful entrance garden, there is a lake, 2 reservoirs, dog parks, tennis courts, beach volleyball, a pool, many shelters or pavilions and so much more…including the Zoo.
