Our October presenter was Brendan Conaway, aka The Pittsburgh Pumpkin Guy. Brendan is well known throughout the region for his artistic and innovative pumpkin sculpting. For over a decade, Brendan has been a regular at many area pumpkin festivals and various civic events, with multiple appearances on television programs including "Pittsburgh Today Live" and "Talk Pittsburgh". A self-trained artist with a degree in musical theater, Brendan also works as The Pittsburgh Painter Guy (specializing in luxury interior painting and murals) and is the contemporary worship leader at Hebron Church in Penn Hills. The program featured Brendan discussing his craft while performing a live demonstration of his pumpkin sculpting art.

September 23, 2023 Meeting
2 Buds Floral Design
Michael Davidson was our speaker at our September general meeting.
Michael, along with his childhood friend, Jesse Connor, own 2 Buds Floral Design on Steubenville Pike in Oakdale. In June they were featured on KDKA Talk Pittsburgh as one of the top local florists in the area.
Michael demonstrated how to make a silk fall arrangement and a silk flower wreath. Both were raffled off at the meeting. He also brought ribbon and wire and taught all of us how to create Fall Corn Stalk bows. A creative time was had by all.
A delicious lunch was served following the meeting.
