What's Blooming Today, August 1-19?
Keeping Oakmont looking pretty and pink all summer long.
The Garden Club members have worked hard this summer to keep Oakmont  looking great. The Oakmont in Bloom committee gathered on May 18 to plant 800  bubblegum petunias in the tree wells and urns along the Boulevard. This is always  a challenge as securing the petunias, coordinating their arrival and getting them  planted takes a lot of coordination and effort. Sherry Ehrlich beautified the bus  stop hay baskets and planters located across from the Deli. With the help of her  husband she also made sure all the beautiful hanging baskets were up and well  cared for all summer. The Civic Planting committee planted flowers at the  entrance to Oakmont by the high school. The Adopt a Block committee kept the  beds looking good by pulling the weeds before and after the planting of the  petunias. Kudos to all who have helped keep Oakmont in Bloom. It’s been  amazing to watch all the flowers grow.
